CASE 1: a patient with a restricted upper airway space

上気道スペースが制限されている患者で、西川ブレードによる1回目で挿管に成功した症例です。

The first case is a patient with a restricted upper airway space who was successfully intubated with the Nishikawa blade on the first attempt. 

喉頭展開時の3つのランドマーク（下顎骨下縁：青、舌骨：赤、喉頭蓋先端：黄）の変位ベクトルの変化にご注目ください。

Please note the displacement vectors of three landmarks (the lower border of the mandible in blue, hyoid in red, and epiglottis tip in yellow). These landmarks are moved caudally with the Macintosh blade. However, when using the Nishikawa blade, these landmarks are displaced anteriorly. 

↓これらのランドマークは、マッキントッシュ型ブレードでは尾側に移動します。

↓しかし、西川ブレードを使用すると、これらのランドマークは前方へ移動します。これにより、気道を開放し、下咽頭の挿管スペースを大きく確保することができています。
